Carseat fleece offcuts, hair dye, twisted willow, polyethylene shopping bags, nylon and polyester tents, PVC, shielded copper cables, aluminium tags, brass fixings.

Ongoing work, from the wider Doomscroll series, using the backdrop gradients and prompts of instagram and other social media as invitations for physical, low-tech counterparts. The skin is suspended taut from an organic, carved frame, by cordage made from mixed plastics and communication wiring destined for landfill.

This work was first displayed, alongside many others, as part of JJ Chan's What do we know (anyway)?  focusing on education, community and care, at Bloc Projects in Sheffield, in July 2021.
